Like in lots of fruits, Anatolia is one of the oldest culture areas and homeland of mulberry. Its fruit, leaf, root has been a source for health, serving our region quietly for centuries; mulberry has been serving the healthy life and economy of Anatolian people. Nowadays natural products attract attention intensively, in addition to fresh consumption, mulberry is an attractive fruit with the nutritional properties of its processed products and is a raw material for lots of regional tastes such as molasses (syrup), churchkela, jam and paste and its area of use is expanding day by day.
